How We Met

We met through mutual friends in Meeker, CO. We knew each other for years before we started dating. Jake officially asked me to be his girlfriend at a friend's wedding on October 5th, 2019. Jake claims he tried making a move for months before then, but I digress.

Our Journey Together

For the first few years of our relationship, we lived in Grand Junction, CO while I was still finishing up nursing school and Jake was working at the airport. Jake was my rock through everything that nursing school entails, pandemic and all. After graduating, we moved to Salt Lake City, Utah so that I had more opportunities as a new grad and so that we both could experience life outside of Colorado. We have so many amazing memories from our time in SLC, but it wasn't long after that we moved to Meeker and bought our first home together. We have been in Meeker ever since, and have loved every second of it.

The Proposal

In August 2024, we went on our annual camping trip to Adam's Lake in the Flat Tops with some of our closest friends. Adam's is our favorite lake and some of our best memories have been there. When Jake proposed, he popped the question, "Will you be my roommate forever?" So romantic, right? It was the easiest and best yes of my life.
